There are a number of reasons why your card could be declined. Below are a few reasons why you may have your order declined and how to fix this issue.
My order keeps failing. What can I do?
The best thing you can do to get the purchase to go through is to contact your credit card company. Let them know that you’re trying to put an order through at Toolfarm. They may be able to pinpoint the issue exactly and help you fix it.
Alternatively, you can try another card. We also accept PayPal.
Common reasons for declined orders
The address doesn’t match your credit card.
Please check your credit card’s website and ensure that it matches exactly. Look closely for typos. We’ve seen problems arise when the word Road is abbreviated as Rd., for example.
Sometimes the area for “State” can be an issue if you don’t have anything to enter there. In that case, try entering your country name again.
Make sure your phone number is an exact match to your credit card.
Your purchase was flagged as Fraud
Credit card fraud is extremely common and credit card processing companies are diligent when searching for fraud. Even legitimate purchases sometimes get flagged as fraudulent, especially if your card has failed for another reason and you’ve made several attempts to get it to work.
A large purchase at Toolfarm may also trigger a fraud flag with your credit card company, especially if you normally do not make large purchases.
To fix this, please call your credit card company. The phone number is on the back of your credit card.
Credit Limit Reached
You may have a low limit. Try another card or PayPal.
Your bank may be declining the order
If this is the case, contact your credit card company and tell them that you approve orders through Toolfarm. It’s often the credit card company that declines the order, thinking your card may have been stolen.
If your card fails multiple times, you may end up having a block placed by your credit card company.
My credit card is being charged but the order was declined. What do I do?
If your order was declined or failed, you were not charged. But, it may still show up on your credit card. This will clear in 24-48 business hours.
