Removing Objects for Creative Effects with Mocha & Particle Illusion
Mary Poplin at Boris FX shows you how to create transparent ghostly effects. Because there was no clean plate shot, Mary had to create her own clean plate using the Remove Module in Mocha Pro. She used Photoshop to help with the process of removing the actress from the background. Then, with the help of Particle Illusion, the actress is transformed into a wispy, smoky ghost. Finally, she uses Sapphire Glow to create a transparent glow effect to give it that true spectral look.
