Granular Crumbling Sand in INSYDIUM Fused
Bob from INSYDIUM explains how to make a granular crumbling sand statue. He uses INSYDIUM Fused to emit particles from the statue, setting them up to work with nxFluids in granular sim mode. Then, he uses nxInfectio to create organic growth, which moves particles into different groups. He uses nxFluids granular settings and then combines them with nxGravity to simulate realistic granular crumbling
A quick aside… I used to work at Postworks and we worked on the video that played behind the band during the AC/DC’s 2000-2001 Stiff Upper Lip world tour. I made a statue of Angus Young crumble like this, with just After Effects and built-in plugins. Imagine what I could have done with INSYDIUM Fused in Cinema 4D! I can’t find the video online but I found some clips with the pounding speaker I made for Rock & Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution.
