3D Plants for CG Artists
Laubwerk offers easy-to-use software extensions for architects and CG artists looking for authentic 3D plants, and plant scattering tools.
With drag-and-drop simplicity, and easy-to-use tools that modify the shape, age, season and level of detail for each of Laubwerk’s stunning 3D plants, users can seamlessly add 3D trees to any CG project. For Autodesk 3ds Max & Maya, MAXON Cinema 4D, Trimble SketchUp, and Python.
Plants Kit 1 – Temperate Deciduous Trees
A selection of small to medium-sized trees for ornamental use, parks and streets, including the stunning pink-blossomed Kanzan and the impressively tall and slender cypress oak.
Plants Kit 2 – Temperate Deciduous Trees
A diverse selection of street trees (e.g. Norway maple, silver linden), as well as the impressively large English oak, the fashionable silver birch and the lovely weeping willow, great for water promenades and margins.
Plants Kit 3 – Tropical Broadleaf Trees
A spectacular collection of tropical species found across Africa, the Americas, Asia, the Pacific, and Australia, where they fill the streets, parks, and gardens. Laubwerk Plants Kit 3 includes the powerful African mahogany, the firey-flowered royal poinciana and prized umbrella-shaped rain tree, yellow flame and Queensland umbrella tree.

An impressive collection of Mediterranean and other subtropical tree species found across the world, planted along roads, in parks, and gardens including the iconic Mediterranean cypress, fascinating flowering trees such as the Japanese camellia and the world’s most popular palm, the Canary Island date palm.

An impressive collection of temperate coniferous tree species planted in parks, gardens, or forests including excellent specimen trees for lawns such as eastern white pine, Japanese larch with good autumn color, and popular ornamental and live Christmas trees.

Laubwerk Plants Kit 7 includes the coconut palm – the symbol of a tropical island paradise, the travelers palm – one of nature’s most distinctive and remarkable plants, and the Vanatu fan palm – one of the most interesting and elegant of all small palms.

A selection of both common and distinctive temperate shrubs and bushes species planted in parks, gardens, and rural landscapes including excellent shrubs with spectacular floral display such as Yunnan redbud, and Bachelor’s buttons, common hawthorn with beautiful autumn color and the cherry laurel ‘Schipkaensis’, a very popular ornamental shrub.

A selection of both common and distinctive tropical shrubs and bushes species planted in parks and gardens including the popular Chinese hibiscus, excellent shrubs with fragrant white flowers such as tabernaemontana ‘Sweet Love’ and great white frangipani, or Dona Luz pink mussaenda, which brings a strong color accent to every tropical garden.

A selection of both popular and attactive subtropical shrubs and bushes species planted in parks and gardens such as oleander and magnificent angel’s trumpet or bay laurel. Shrubs are not hardy but containers can be placed outdoors during the summer in temperate regions creating a Mediterranean feel.

An exclusive selection of subtropical trees and palms for special plantings in gardens and parks where a Mediterranean or exotic atmosphere is desired — such as the western strawberry tree, with its exotic strawberry-like fruit, or the dwarf palm, with its beautiful, fan-shaped leaves.
Plants Kit 16 – Temperate Topiary Trees
Plants Kit 16 is a spectacular collection of ten outstanding topiary. This Kit includes a wide range of beautiful plants which are popular for their specific, nearly architectural shape. For example the wonderful darf southern catalpa ‘Nana’ with its almost perfectly globular crown as well as the hornbeam with its wide range of different geometric shapes.

Note for our customers who use V-Ray for SketchUp:
- Laubwerk Plants do not yet fully support V-Ray 5. With V-Ray 5, Chaos Group released a very powerful upgrade, but it contains major changes that need to be reflected in the Laubwerk Player Plugin. We are currently working closely with Chaos Group to ensure Laubwerk Plants and V-Ray 5 continue to work seamlessly together. Please stay tuned!
