Abbey Road’s Complete Mastering Chain— In Your Hands
From the 70s to today, from Pink Floyd to Ed Sheeran, the EMI TG12410 Transfer Console has defined the Abbey Road Studios sound. At long last, Waves has modeled this magical mastering chain down to the very last detail, and added modern touches designed with Abbey Road Studios.
With modular Input, Tone, Compression/Limiting, Filter/EQ, and Output/Stereo Spread sections—now you can give Abbey Road’s distinctive sonic flavoring and control to your masters, buses, groups, and even individual tracks.
Magical Mystery Mastering
From Pink Floyd’s The Dark Side of the Moon to Radiohead’s OK Computer and beyond—you know it when you hear it: gear with that special “something” that has proven itself over decades in the hands of top engineers, recording the world’s best-selling musicians. There’s nothing like the TG desk.
Timeless Tone
4 bands of EQ each have 5 carefully curated frequencies, chosen for maximum musical impact and usefulness. For each band, choose low shelf, high shelf, or three bell shapes: wide, medium, or narrow.
Limiting without Limits
In addition to the original, Zener diode-based compressor and limiter functions, TG Mastering Chain also includes a modern, VCA-style compressor, designed jointly by Waves and Abbey Road in the spirit of the TG.
First-Class Filters
The Filter module supplements the Tone module with 3 gentle, tone-shaping filters: High Pass (4 frequencies), Low Pass (5 frequencies), and Presence (8 frequencies, with medium bell).
Extensive Input Options
At the input, change balance, swap channels, apply historic tape EQs, flip phase, or change one channel’s phase relative to the other by 90 degrees—a simple, quick fix for stereo tracks with phase correlation issues.
Re-Order Your Chain: Complete Control
Re-order all modules, except input and output. EQ Filters before or after the Compressor/Limiter, Tone before or after EQ—you choose. Collapse a module to see fewer controls and link them, or expand to adjust Left and Right (or Mid and Sides) separately. Re-linking maintains any control offsets.
Keep Everything in Phase: Added Linear Phase Sidechains
Another modern feature enhances the original compressor/limiter with 3 bands of linear-phase sidechain filters. Linear-phase operation preserves the TG’s natural sound, and the dynamics’ attack/release characteristics.
The Final Touch: Optimum Output
Widen (or narrow) your masters’ stereo image with the stereo spread enhancer, precision-modeled on the spreader from Abbey Road’s original EMI TG12416 unit. Plus monitor… well, pretty much anything: left, right, stereo, summed to mono, mid, and sides.
Meter Your Masters with the TG Meter Bridge
The bonus TG Meter Bridge (a separate plugin) offers a new approach to metering. Open one Meter Bridge component on any channel and get access (via drop-down) to all Abbey Road TG Mastering Chain instances in the session. Get a clear reading of VU, PPM, Phase and Peak at a glance, and stay focused on the music.
170 Presets by Grammy-Winning Engineers
Launch your process with excellent starting points: 170 presets by top mixing and mastering engineers like Jacquire King, Joe Barresi, Piper Payne, Dave Pensado, Greg Wells, Lu Diaz, Drew Lavyne, and many more.

Waves’ latest version works on newer sub-versions of these DAWs, unless stated otherwise.
Waves plugins comply with the major audio plugin formats (VST3, AU, AAX).
If your DAW is not listed below, but supports VST3, AU or AAX, it should work fine with our software.
Your DAW must be running on an operating system that supports it in order for plugins to work properly. To confirm that your DAW version is supported on your operating system, please refer to your DAW’s website.
Exceptions & Notes:
General:
- These specs are for software version 15.
- V15 supports 64-bit only.
- In hosts that support both VST and VST3 plugins, we highly recommend using only VST3 plugins in new sessions from now on, and migrating plugins in old sessions to VST3.
- With the release of Waves V13 plugins, we announce full official Apple Silicon support for host applications that are themselves Apple Silicon-compatible. We will work to provide official ARM support for more host applications as they become Silicon-compatible. We will update this page with new developments as they are available.
- MIDI Support: The following hosts do not offer MIDI support: Pyramix, Premiere, Audition and OBS.
- MIDI Learn:
Not supported in the following plugins: Scheps Omni Channel 2, MultiMod Rack, CLA MixHub, Abbey Road TG Mastering Chain.
Native Instrument hosts: MIDI learn is not supported in effect plugins if they’re inserted after a virtual instrument plugin in Maschine and Komplete Kontrol.
Logic Pro, MainStage, Digital Performer, Luna: Only certain plugins support MIDI learn. Click here for a full list.
GarageBand: MIDI Learn is supported only with Waves Virtual Instrument plugins. - Mono to Stereo components are not supported in Cakewalk by BandLab, GarageBand and Luna.
- Sidechaining is supported on the following hosts: Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Nuendo, Cubase, Cakewalk by BandLab, Audition, Ableton Live, FL Studio, REAPER, Bitwig Studio, Samplitude, Sequoia and Studio One.
- Demo Mode: Audio mutes are not synced between plug-ins running in Demo Mode, when tracks are set to Input Monitoring and the transport is stopped.
- Surround plugins are supported on the following hosts: Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Digital Performer, Nuendo, Cubase, Audition, Premiere, REAPER, Pyramix and DaVinci Resolve.
- Drag and Drop support: ‘Drag and Drop' of samples and audio files in to CR8 Creative Sampler is possible only on DAWs that support this feature: Ableton Live, Cubase, Nuendo and Studio One.
- GarageBand: The Preset Browser is not available on Intel Mac computers.
- Adobe Premiere on Apple Silicon Macs: While loading plugins / changing parameters, you may experience a slow graphic refresh rate.
- Maschine/ Komplete Kontrol: The following plugins will not function correctly when loaded as VST3 plugins: API-2500, C1 Compressor, dbx160 Compressor / Limiter, H-Comp Hybrid Compressor, Renaissance Compressor, SSL G-Master Bus Compressor, V-Comp. Maschine 2.17.2 and Komplete Kontrol 2.9.2 include a fix for this issue.
- FL Studio: FL Studio 21.1.1.3318 may produce graphics issues on Mac computers with Intel processors.
Solution: Update FL Studio to the latest version (21.0.3.3352 or later). - DaVinci Resolve: Tempo Sync is not supported.
