Adobe Photoshop 25.7, Firefly 3, Photoshop 25.9 Beta Released
Adobe Photoshop 25.7 April update includes an improved Font Browser and other great feature enhancements. In addition, Adobe released the Firefly Image 3 Model and the Photoshop 25.9 Beta. We’ll go through each, summarizing new features.
Adobe Photoshop 25.7 – April Release
With the Font Browser, users can now see the More Fonts tab without leaving Photoshop. Fonts can also be previewed on the canvas by hovering over them in the font panel. In addition, fonts can be filtered by language, font class, and tags. I have been using font filtering for a while now and it saves so much time.
Other new features include Hover Layer Bounds, Actions Import, and Actions Behavior.
Firefly Image 3 Model
The April Photoshop 25.9 Beta brings several groundbreaking AI features. The new features are thanks to the latest Firefly Image 3 Model, also released today. First, I’ll give you a summary of what’s new in Firefly, then we’ll dive into the Photoshop beta.
Firefly 3’s new features include expanding and resizing any image and using reference files for style and structure.

Photoshop 25.9 Beta
These features are available on the desktop, iPad, and the web.
Generative Fill
Now powered by the Adobe Firefly Image 3 Model, the quality and content are much improved. Users can use reference images to help to generate variations. “Generate Similar” allows users to create variations with similar characteristics. In addition, Adobe added an “Enhance Detail” for sharper, clearer images.
Generative Expand
Have you ever worked with an image that is shot too tight? Or perhaps you needed more sky to add text over? Generative Expand uses Firefly Image 3 to fill in the expanded areas. Expand the canvas using the crop tool and fill the area using the Contextual Text Bar.
